In 2015, the Mexican government defined the new rules regarding content and classification criteria to be observed by all concessionaires providing broadcasting services in Mexico. By this, the transmission criteria that had been applied in the previous three regulations in this area for four decades were transformed and another more lax and permissible legal framework was introduced to spread the information of “entertainment†and “commercial†of the cultural industries Electronic communications on society, especially towards children’s and youth audiences. All of these had very damaging consequences for the healthy psycho-social formation of the new generations and for the virtuous development of Mexican society in the twenty-first century.
