La producción discursiva de la ciencia

Abstract

This article, based on various linguistic and semiotic studies, sets forth the most salient characteristics of scientific discourse. At the same time it critically explores both the theory and the methodology inherent in those studies and looks at concepts such as metalanguage, translation, monosemy, semantic density and reformulation. The article offers epistemological foundations from which other studies of scientific discourse and the dissemination of science, especially in the different branches of the social sciences, can be developed.
