Sociedad y cambio social en Alain Touraine y Michel Crozier.
Abstract
This article compares the sociological theories of Michel Crozier and Alain Touraine on three different planes which are treated successively and in which their points of convergence and divergence are explored: firstly, the images of society and of collective action which are projected in their respective works; secondly, their explanations of the organizational field; and, finally, their concepts of social change. By comparing the works of the two authors, it is easier to understand the influences -with respect to the classics of the nineteenth century -under which they have constructed their theories (Touraine appears to be arguing principally with Marx, Crozier with Weber), the scope and limitations of their proposals, as well as the type of social science they espouse and the valorative expectations they defend
