Hidalgo: el intelectual revolucionario
Abstract
This article outlines Hidalgo's intellectual education. He was a scholar in both Philosophy and Theology, what he showed when it was necessary. And because of his erudition he was fully recognized by his peers. The new-Hispanic people's xenophobic feelings was his best ally to encourage insurrection. Then, through brochures and leaflets, he revealed part of his ideas, gave evidence of the way he used the concepts to build up a new social order and a nationalistic discourse.
