De la crisis hegemónica y financiera a la crisis alimentaria
Impacto sobre el campo mexicano
Abstract
This article aims to unravel the structural origin of world-wide food crisis, distinguishing the short-term or rupture elements that strenghten it from those factors that affect its exit and have therefore a structural impact on the rise of food prices. Also, it tries to demonstrate that the food crisis constitutes the midwife of a new world-wide agro-alimentary order that is emerging and will generate important changes in the national agro-alimentary scope. The impact of the food crisis is also analyzed in rural Mexico, in order to demonstrate that it´s the great rural entrepreneurs who have benefitted from higher prices, whereas the small producers have been affected by the increase in the price of the supplies, and the absence of governmental supports of productive impulse. Key words: food crisis, hegemony crisis, financial crisis, world-wide agro-alimentary order, exit of the crisis.
