Modalidades de participación social en educación básica

The objective of this article is offer an approximation to the form in which the policy of social participation is stimulated in the basic education in several entities of Mexico. The axis of analysis is the concept of Policy Network in the levels mezzo and micro. Between the conclusions, emphasizes that the social participation has never been completely foreign in the schools in spite of the vertical control of the Secretariat of Public Education (SEP) and the Workers’ National Union of the Education (SNTE) and that the above mentioned participation is not limited only to the institutionalized figure of the Advices of Social Par- ticipation that introduced the General Law of Education of 1993.
