Microempresa y relaciones laborales: modelos y estrategias ante el nuevo escenario económico.
Abstract
The characteristics of labor relations in micro and small enterprises are examined in this article, based on the analysis of an industrial district in Mexico. Two possible labor practices are outstanding: employer discretionality and personal social commitment. The tendency towards absolute predominance of an employer discretionality model serves as a basis to mark the contrast in the development pattern followed by these experiences in Mexico in regard to the flexible specialization models of the successful Italian industrial districts based on worker's involvement, polyvalence and training.
