Abstract

An introduction of some historical and philosophical themes of evolution of material forces are presented, defined as a complex group of productive and destructive forces, in the sense of army tecnology, trying to focus on those technological systems what have had major impacts over enviroment and society. The vision of production forces included in the canonic version of historic materialism, that percibes its development free of opposition, lineal and teleologist. Would be an evolutionary view that works as an epistemological obstacle. I support that in some cases is very important the devolopment of alternative systems guicied by political and ideological criteria, in the frame of class oposition. The most important would be nuclear energy.
