Abstract

The aim of this paper is to analyze the scenario where had been taking place the important changes in health. In the case of Mexico, the transition of health system can be seen as a result of a change in how traditionally has been understood the social policy and the historic context were those transformations took place. The path follows by administrative, economic, and social reform pro¬cess, what begun in 80's, and goes ahead with the social reform generated a lot of prospects. However, now it is time to think about the lessons learned. In this way we can be able to under¬stand what really happens in order to improve social policy.
