Abstract

This article proposes that the social effects of globalization depend, in every country, on its history, culture and traditions. It emphasizes that the piqueteros are now a part of the traditional workers movement and it prevents against the illusion of autonomy, which were particularly strong in the years 2001-2002. Finally, it tries to understand the effects of social movements in a long run.
