Abstract

This essay analyzes the critic of the cinema of Pedro Almodovar in Spain. One made an analysis history-psicosocial to discover total tendencies of construction of the socially diffused significances. The analysis of the semantic contents between 1980 and 1988 showed that the work of Pedro Almodovar was criticized positively since 1988. The critics have described the work of Almodovar in a neutral and negative way, by underlining the situations and the characters. From 1988 one discovered in the news two principal tendencies: acceptance starting from the inclusion of the popular characters and at the same time, a public which wanted certain products cultural beyond the preserving glance dominating.
