Abstract

There are many criticisms against Marx due to he did not include the nature in his analysis –among them we can identify the criticism of the ecological economist Martínez-Alier. In this paper, I show the relevance of Marx’s framework to analyze the origin of the different kind of social and environmental problems in the modern societies, moreover, it emphasizes the way in that Marx included the nature in his analysis, and how the current economic model has had the mayor weight on the environmental degradation and the lose of the quality life in the society. Until now, Ecological Economic has left out the Marx’s framework to deal with theses problems; nevertheless, the historical openness in Marxism represents a big methodological quality, which is included in the three methodological principles of the Ecological Economic, to gain a better understand of the contemporary problems, this permits contribute to the enrichment of the theorical-methodological framework of Ecological Economic. Key words: men, nature, marxism, production, ecological.
