Abstract

The economical ecology sees the natural and ecological systems as one, and they depend on each other, that’s the reason why the monetary aspect isn’t the only thing considered, but also the energy flows and the material’s cycle. On the other side, industrial ecology is a strategy which theoretical basis starts on the ecologic economy. It clearly comes into view at the end of the eighties, and an important bibliographic production emerges during the last two decades, as a result of academic and empiric works. The most important industrial ecology theorists come from different areas of knowledge: engineering, biology and economy, each one of them emphasize some differences and suggest specific functioning ways of industrial organizations that work according to nature’s principles, it seeks to highlight the importance that different authors give to this proposal in the theoretical aspect only. Key words: industrial ecology, industrial metabolism, dematerialization.
