La construcción de indicadores para los estudios de género

Abstract

This article offers a reflection on indicators -what they are and what they are for. Having as a reference the analytical category of gender, as well as the conditions necessary for the construction of indicators, the authors highlight those regarding the analysis of inequalities between men and women. They later discuss the proposal for gender indicators elaborated by CEPAL, and emphasize the lack, in their view, of some of them, or highlight those susceptible of further disaggregation.
