Multiactividades y reproducción campesina.
En la comunidad de Ichupio, Michoacán.
Abstract
In this article we examine the strategies which the peasant domestic units of a Michoacan community employ to achieve their day to day reproduction. The survival strategies rest on the complementarity of activities, each one of which provides elements which make possible the satisfaction of social and economic needs. By means of various combinations of activities, the units tend to achieve a balance between production and consumption. The findings of the investigation permit us to affirm that these domestic groups constitute peasant units which, without Iimitting themselves exclusively to the perfor¬mance of agricultural tasks, have as a primary motivation the satisfaction of needs and not the maximization of earnings or accumulation.
