República y carisma.
Marc Bloch y el prodigio moderno.
Abstract
With this dense essay, overflowing with knowledge, Raulff, almost pro¬poses that we undertake the complete reading of Les rois thaumaturges. The Middle Ages, Durkheim, Kantorowicz, Lavisse, Mathiez, the Feast, mysticism, the Republic, etcetera, appear in their proper context, in a his¬toric coming and going between the facts and the cited works. Withouth loosing the thread of the events narrated in Les rois, the author submits us to the modern prodigy of this work. Because, thanks to Les rois, "the nation's scientifically elaborated memory strives to connect with popular practices, the forms of belief and knowledge which had participated actively in the political religion of ancient France, the royal religion".
