Abstract

Based on the analysis of the Sociology studies at the Azcapotzalco campus of the Universidad Autonoma Metropolitana, this article presents an overview of school trajectories and final efficiency of such studies between 1974 and the end of 2000. Its first part offers some background on the curriculum organization and efforts made to enhance final efficiency. It then outlines a chart of possible student trajectories. Finally, the following sections offer answers for the distinguishable kinds of trajectories, the events that characterize them, and their medium length, highlighting those that come out successfully and those that end in a dropout.
