Los sindicatos mexicanos en la transición política
Abstract
This article examines the behavior of Mexican labor unions, from 1988 onwards, as they are confronted by ongoing changes in the political regime. In particular we analyze union positions with respect to three key aspects of the democratization process: the institutional reform of labor relations, the restructuring of union corporativism and the climate of political openness. Finally we propose a minimal agenda aimed at promoting the transition towards new types of relations among the State, unions and businesses.
