Abstract

In sepia colored prints, but with much more sharpness and clarity, E. Bloch presents us with the picture of his father (and the memory of his mother). A picture that belongs to us, the objectivity of which lies in his intellectual legacy. With love being the end and the beginning, the present is continuity, and it is continuity that demands the order and the memory of the Blochian work. The voice that questions, cries out, refutes and specifies is not that of the son but rather of the researcher. And the researcher, per se, longs for the truth. It is for this reason that he speaks to us of M. Bloch's notebooks, which contain unequivocal data cards and information of the author's methodological classification.
