Abstract

This article examines a sample of the Federal District inhabitants' perceptions about the problems of Mexico City and the country in general. A quantitative and qualitative analysis is also made of citizenry opinions on President Fox and Chief of Government Andres Manuel López Obrador in relation with each one's characteristic way of solving the problems and causes of concern that affect the citizens. This is a pioneer study, since it offers an overview of how citizens perceive their leaders, as well as social problems.
