Abstract

The far-reaching changes of the past decades have taken place not only in the political, social, and economic arenas: they have also had an impact on the social sciences. Those areas may see considerable transformations in the problematics of study and research, with perspectives that differ greatly from those that prevailed until recently. This article analyzes that process, beginning with a general overview of what is happening and then moving on to the disciplines of psychology and communication as concrete expressions of the general situation.
