Abstract

This article provides a listing of new forms of organization and popular mobilization adopted by social players who are undergoing a profound alteration in their way of life, their expectations, the perception of their position in society, and their relations with other social sectors. The forms of organization developed in these conditions recoup a historical memory that belongs to them or to other social sectors - sectors that previously were scorned, on occasions by themselves, such as indigenous populations and peasants. These offer effective mechanisms for organization and struggle aimed at an alternative for reorganizing society.
